Many expectations are hanging on the Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr as Nigeria lock horns against the Desert Foxes of Algeria.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have relatively improved under the German-French boss but some sect of Nigerians are still adamant of his Coaching credentials.

Fans would be keen to see the talent of Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze and William Troost-Ekong take the team to (obvious) greater heights.

But with a couple of square pegs set to be fitted into the square holes more like the round ones, the Eagles fans would be on the lookout for some things as Gernot Rohr’s test and the quest for glory continue of meeting the demand set by the (winning the Nations Cup) NFF led Board.

Nigeria’s starting eleven with the Super Eagles brimming with form and confidence much will be anticipated as regards to who gets into the team’s starting line-up.

A lot would be discerned from the fans point of view of who starts in the team against Algeria.

Nigeria would also be without the class act of Oghenekaro Etebo, Wilfred; Ndidi, Joe Aribo and Victor Osimhen.

And it makes it even more interesting as to who would make it to the team with Musa scoring a brace in some of the training section.

Time of Substitutions

The Super Eagles gaffer has been accused of relatively making late substitutions even when it’s glaring so to say for an average person watching the game.

Such inspection will be in vogue as Nigerians do business on the pitch against Algeria. With the likes of Samson Tijani impressing in
training sections amid their debut, the time players will be substituted would be taken note of by soccer-loving Nigerians.

It promises to be interesting as the likes of Cyriel Dessers and Chidera Ejuke are primed for the debut.

Onuachu and the much talked about defensive cover Zaidu Sanusi would aim for a look in as the team sheet get set to be unveiled for the international duel against Algeria.

Teams Prefer Formation

The formation the manager could make do with will be of major interest to Nigerians who may be ready to analyze and criticize as the case may be.

The teams’ formation may be influenced by the playing culture of the coach as well as the system laid down for the National team.

But this could be largely influenced by the quality of players available at his disposal. With the Algerians highly rated by virtue of their individual status and player quality, the approach and team dynamics will give Nigerians a clue of where the team is going in the future.

And it will be taken into consideration as the Nigerian manager has been criticized for been reserved despite the abundance of talent he’s got in his young Nigerian squad.
